Warriors Wrestling is operated by the Hatboro-Horsham Wrestling Club. The club is a local all volunteer organization dedicated to the development of youth from pre-kindergarten (4 years old) to 8th grade by introducing them to the sport of collegiate/folk style wrestling. Our focus is on building self-confidence, physical fitness, and sportsmanship, while providing a safe and fun environment. The Warriors is a member of the Inter County Wrestling League (ICWL), and compete against other youth organizations from the five-county area.
Formal practices start in November and continue until the end of the season in late March. Wrestlers are broken into practice groups based on their age, weight, and experience. There are two to three practices per week. The practices start with stretching, strength, and conditioning exercises followed by instructional drills, and live wrestling. The younger groups often end a practice with a physical game. Parents are invited to join the wrestlers on the mat and assist with drills.
The ICWL dual meet season schedule will start in December. The meets are held on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. The coaches arrange matches prior to each meet with the opposing team's roster. We match wrestlers as close as possible based on experience, age, and weight.
